Theonomia (Greek θεονομία, from θεός = god and νόμος = law/order) is the Stoic mental practice of reflecting daily on the divine order of the universe and one's place within it. It is not a pious religious exercise, but rational work that prevents one from falling into bitterness or panic. Theonomia unites Pronoia (the recognition of cosmic order) with personal acceptance and inner alignment.
