Logos Spermatikos

The rational seed or seeds of reason active within every person, connecting the individual to the universal reason (Logos).

Logos spermatikos (λόγος σπερματικός) refers to the seeds or germs of the universal Reason (Logos) that operate immanently within each individual human being. This concept allows the Stoics to unite the cosmic Logos with individual human reason, while also grounding the possibility of virtue and knowledge for every person. The logos spermatikos forms the foundation for the idea of a universal human brotherhood.
